Flowers are for men, too

We notice that Valentine’s Day is changing. It used to be incumbent on the men to give the ladies roses, chocolates, a nice card and maybe a teddy bear. Some of our customers would come in the store agonizing about whether their gifts would meet the bar set by the demanding girlfriend or wife.  Thankfully, there is less of that these days!

Now we have a lot of women who send flowers to their men. This is nice. Men do like flowers, too. And what do we suggest that you give them? Try something with tropical flowers like Birds of Paradise (see our Fly Me to the Moon Arrangement). Or something with an architectural look, like Lemon Yellow or Admiration. Vivid colours like purple or red are well received.

A dozen red tulips would be fun. They’ll be fairly tight when delivered, then will open and grow more each day until they spread out like a glorious explosion of spring.

If you’d like to embarrass the poor guy at work, send a vase of red roses and don’t forget to add the big red metallic “Happy Valentine’s Day” balloon. Really, he’ll like it!
