Hydrangeas need water every day or two. They are very picky about their drinks! They like to be in a bright room, not too hot, and not in direct sunlight. After they bloom, you can cut off the spent flowers and put the plant in a warm bright corner of the garden. It may take a year or two to bloom again, but I have seen them re-flower for years. Sometimes the colour becomes slightly faded, a kind of antique shade, very lovely.
