We had a pleasant time at the Christian Women’s Club this past Wednesday. It is a group that meets monthly at Strate’s Restaurant in Etobicoke.
Susan and Lynn took our show on the road! Armed with our beautiful Spring 2010 flyers and samples of the bouquets, we presented a 20 minute demonstration of floral how-to’s and trends.
Lynn did the speaking, while Susan expertly crafted hand-tied bouquets that all started with citrus green flowers. The first bouquet was green chrysanthemums, pink Elegance miniature carnations and hot pink Inspiration roses. The colours just popped!
Susan’s second bouquet used green viburnum and button mums with yellow/red Circus roses and bright yellow and orange gerberas. Then she displayed the Reverie arrangements, with their green and purple colour combination.
Probably the most popular arrangement we showed was My Fair Lady 2, a sweet, small arrangement in a pretty double votive holder. Then we presented My Fair Lady 1, the larger version in a ceramic dish, to ooohs and aaaahs.
Although it was Secretary’s Day, and we were late arriving, the ladies were most gracious, and seemed to appreciate the show.
