The Juction Arts Festival is back again this weekend, bigger and better than ever.
We are amazed at how quiet the street is this morning, as traffic has been blocked from Runnymede to Keele, then from Keele to Indian Grove. That’s a serious walk, folks! There are vendors setting up on the road and restaurants enlarging their patios in preparation for the weekend. We have brought in fall bouquets and plants for our sidewalk display.
Our store window features the artwork of Olga Nabatova. Here is a photo of the window, with apologies for the glare:
Olga brought in a pair of paintings of orange lilies, and our resident Floral Artist, Susan created two large arrangements to complement them. There are twenty stems of lilies in each urn, with three or four blooms per stem. As the lilies open, we’ll post more photos. The urns of lilies are enhanced with long branches of curly willow, and there are vials of yellow oncydium orchids bound to the branches.
Other artwork by Olga, displayed in the shop:
We’re looking forward to another fun festival. The weather should be perfect, and there will be lots to see and do. Here is the link to the Festival website and schedule. Come on down, and enjoy the Junction neighbourhood!
