In the flower business, we like to differentiate ourselves from the grocery stores by “dressing” our plants.
If you insisted, we would of course sell you an “undressed” plant, but how much better they look in a co-ordinating pot, decorated with ribbon, wire, branches or balls!
Have a look at this photo. We had four orchid plants left after the Christmas rush, and had an opportunity to dress them up for an order. This is “dressing” to the nth degree – like dressing in a tuxedo!
The plants are gathered in a whitewashed wood basket. Pieces of birchbark are bound to the basket with decorative wire and sisal, and we added accents of pink pearl pins.
How unique is that!
