Flowers and Chocolates and Bears (oh my!)

We’re busy preparing for Valentine’s Day. It is the busiest day of the year for florists, so preparation is essential. The shopping and planning is almost done, and the teddies and chocolates are now in the building!

Here’s a look at our chocolate selection:

Prices for the chocolates shown here: the mini box with 3 hearts is $4.95, the cardboard “Friendship” heart box (bottom left) is $5.95, the “Amour” heart (centre left) is $12.95 and the large “Gem Box” (on the right) is $29.95. The “Amour” box is also available in blue – that’s dark chocolate, yum!

And of course, we have plush toys for the holiday. There are some that are musical. There are bears and dogs and pigs. And they’re all cute! Here’s a photo of some:

One item we will feature is a Gift Pack that can be purchased by itself or in addition to a flower order. There will be a cute bear with an “I love you” heart and a heart-shaped box of luscious Lindor. It will be wrapped decoratively in cello and tissue, but to show the contents better, we took this photo:

The Gift Pack is priced at $19.95. We can add a bag of rose petals for only $5 more. There are lots of nice full-sized greeting cards and bouncy balloons. Mix and match as you please!

How did I get this far and not mention flowers? We will have two fridges full of roses – lots of red, also pink, white, yellow-red, yellow, peach, mauve and orange. Also, tons of tulips – the second-most-favourite flower for Valentine’s. Grown locally, fresh and so springlike. Add our usual selection of gerberas, Anastasia mums, delphinium, orchids, hydrangea, lilies and humble carnations, and you have a terrific assortment of blooms to choose from.  Hope to see you next weekend!
