Of course, people love to save money. And group coupons are a hot new way to do it! But the promotion from FTD.com and LivingSocial for Mother’s Day leaves something to be desired.
This article by Cathy Rulloda explains that you will actually save .99 by using the $20 coupon. That’s ninety-nine cents! Because FTD.com and other online order gatherers charge a $20.99 fee to handle your order, your coupon is applied to the handling fee instead of the flowers. But if you call a local florist directly, you will only pay for the flowers and the delivery and taxes. No handling fee.
Take the time to find a florist who has a real shop with a real floral designer and real flowers. Call them or order through their web site and you’ll have a much better idea what will be sent, and you’ll save yourself money!
