It was our pleasure to design flowers for Josh and Amy’s wedding at Jarvis Street Baptist Church.
What a beautiful day it was! There was a casual-yet-sophisticated theme to the day. The bride and groom have great taste, and helping them make the wedding reflect their vision was our goal.
The flowers were to look field-grown, hand-picked and unstructured. The colour palette was mauve, purple, coral and orange. Working with those parameters, we used spray roses, freesia, asters and – most important to the bride – craspedia (billy buttons). Here is the van all packed up and ready for delivery:
Let’s have a closeup of those beautiful colours:
As we drove to Lake Shore Blvd, the sun put on a delightful show:
On to Jarvis Street Baptist Church – what a beautiful building! Look at this ceiling:
Josh and Amy both love books, music and beautiful things. Here’s how that worked out in the Reception:
Family and friends had set up the tables with stacks of books (good ones!) to mark each table. We added groupings of simple vases the bride and groom had supplied, with the same flowers and colour scheme as the bouquets. Here’s a look at a whole banquet table:
The retro, casual, tasteful wedding was a delight. Thanks for including us!
