New Bridal Bouquet Designs

September 9, 2011 by Lynn Freeman

In the quieter summer months, we have had some fun trying new techniques for bridal bouquets. Inspired by Rene van Rems‘ new book, Rene’s Bouquets for Brides, we created these stylish designs: This took quite some time, as lily petals were glued in concentric circles to form one large “flower.” The handle is made of […]

Wedding Flowers for the End of Summer

September 7, 2011 by Lynn Freeman

It was our pleasure to design flowers for Josh and Amy’s wedding at Jarvis Street Baptist Church. What a beautiful day it was! There was a casual-yet-sophisticated theme to the day. The bride and groom have great taste, and helping them make the wedding reflect their vision was our goal. The flowers were to look […]

The weather is beautiful in the Toronto area this July. We’ve had lots of sunshine and warm temperatures. Prom Corsages and Boutonnieres

June 23, 2011 by Lynn Freeman

It’s prom and graduation time! What is the finishing touch for a well-dressed partygoer? The flowers, of course! Our designers have been crafting beautiful corsages for young grads this week. The girls prefer wrist corsages, on either velcro or pearl bracelets. Some like a little bling, like tiny silver, gold or irridescent gems to make […]

Soft and Pretty Flowers

June 2, 2011 by Lynn Freeman

Sweet design in blush pink and cream

Astilbe is a fluffy-looking flower that is growing in gardens south of Toronto at this time of the year. It’s a perennial that should make an appearance in neighbourhood gardens in the next few weeks. Like lilacs and peonies and lily of the valley, the season for these flowers is short. We absolutely love to […]

May 24, 2011 by Lynn Freeman

We picked up some delphinium this morning… Have a look! We had to ask Katie to stand beside the vase, because these beauties are unbelievably long! The colour is that blue-purple that makes you go “Wow!” Mother Nature is so inspiring.
